Hi Dana,

Why don't you try adding some jasmine essential oil? I use the essential oil directly on my skin smudged with amber.

The 'guidelines' for adding oils to liquid is 12-30 drops of essential oil in 30 millilitres of oil/unscented soap/liquid (approx. 1 oz).

I'm still trying to get the scent I'm sending you just right! Being a Libra as well I'm sure you know how this is!

I bet the cedear box is gorgeous. They just get better with age too. It's nice to come upon a wardrobe in an antique shop that still smells like its cedar lining.

I also like the scent of tobacco leaf. It has the underlying sweetness that's still earthy. When I wear the cedarwood and amber together I get compliments from both men and women - which makes me a little self conscious because I don't want it to be over powering.

I'm very lucky to live in a part of the world where I'm surrounded by pacific red cedars (it's also the provincial tree of British Columbia - where I live). One of the first things I do when visitors come is pull off a small piece of cedar leaf for them to take home. Engrain the smell and memory right from the get go.

Cedarwood and amber are actually two of my favourite scents. I have a real soft spot for any perfume with an amber note (the main reason I still like Dior Homme, even if everyone else buys it for the iris/vanilla). And I love woody scents in general (whether it be hinoki or sandalwood). I have a cedarwood box that I keep bits and bobs in that I love.
