Claire your parents' neighbors washroom sounds divine! They should invite someone over to shower who perhaps wouldn't be that desirable to watch - they'll never peek a gain. I get nervous too with the windows - too many Friday the 13th movies - but oh well, I also get nervous in planes and movie theatres.

Bambi - Hopefully, I will know by the end of February if I will be in a position to invest there. Can't afford to invest (let alone live) in Vancouver so screw it! You'll be coming to help with the renos?

That is quite a shower! Neighbors of my parents built an outdoor bathroom with an entirely open roof, which I imagine was lovely (until someone on the other side built a double story house). Large windows in the toilet make me nervous though!

All the info I've found has been online. I came across an ad for some of his stuff in an old Architectural Digest and then went digging from there. Not sure if he has a website but I think I remember seeing something from one of his kids written up somewhere. I believe they may have one of the remaining tables.

My first apartment was a studio too. It had the original kitchen from the 60s - all metal. The week I moved in the apartment was broken into. They stole all the boxes I hadn't unpacked. Talk about feeling violated. The knumbnut next door said, "oh, I saw them break your window and go in. I just thought they lived there." I gave her a piece of my mind.

Why don't you try adding some jasmine essential oil? I use the essential oil directly on my skin smudged with amber.

The 'guidelines' for adding oils to liquid is 12-30 drops of essential oil in 30 millilitres of oil/unscented soap/liquid (approx. 1 oz).

I bet the cedear box is gorgeous. They just get better with age too. It's nice to come upon a wardrobe in an antique shop that still smells like its cedar lining.

I also like the scent of tobacco leaf. It has the underlying sweetness that's still earthy. When I wear the cedarwood and amber together I get compliments from both men and women - which makes me a little self conscious because I don't want it to be over powering.

I'm very lucky to live in a part of the world where I'm surrounded by pacific red cedars (it's also the provincial tree of British Columbia - where I live). One of the first things I do when visitors come is pull off a small piece of cedar leaf for them to take home. Engrain the smell and memory right from the get go.

Cedarwood and amber are actually two of my favourite scents. I have a real soft spot for any perfume with an amber note (the main reason I still like Dior Homme, even if everyone else buys it for the iris/vanilla). And I love woody scents in general (whether it be hinoki or sandalwood). I have a cedarwood box that I keep bits and bobs in that I love.

SO sad. We have found the same in looking for rentals. We rent our home in Boise rather than sell because we think that someday we might move back there and we love that house. So those renters are very lucky. We keep that house how we would want to live in it and expect our tenants to do the same. Maybe you will come across a similar situation... a couple who has to go abroad for a two year work contract and wants some responsible tenants to keep their home in good condition for their return. I hope something great comes along for you.
