We share a vintage Russian naval shirt in our house. I wear it under a fitted blazer and he layers it with a t-shirt or under his cardigan (à la Kurt Cobain).
Coco Chanel - Audrey Hepburn

Bridgette Bardot - Marilyn Monroe

Kurt Cobain - James Dean

Elvis - 30s actor whom I've forgotten his name

a vintage Russian navy uniform - The Cure

Love them too when not so tight, and with a boat neck. A great share!
Thanks for posting inspiring posts as always.
Thanks Kristin!
I recommend the Russian naval shirt. It has the boat neck, boxy but not too boxy cut and they're 100% cotton. They can usually be found at military surplus stores for a fraction of the price they'd be in a boutique.
Thanks again for your feedback.
All the boys and girls bought dozens of those vintage wool/mohair cardigans from me to do just that in the 90s...
I don't think I could pull-off stripes, even when I was 20sh! I love the look, though.
I love that you share! I don't think that would ever happen in my wardrobe situation.
Great collection of images!
Hillbilly - those mohair wool cardis are the best! I think I've only found one in the past six years and I stupidly just put it on consignment! I hate it when I do that.
Claire - Thanks, I'm glad you like them! I can't decide which is my favourite (I did have that Duran Duran one on my wall in the 80s but don't tell anyone).
The shirt is all we share. I do 'borrow' his cashmere sweater to sleep in sometimes - trying to drop a subtle hint on some new jammies.
