Fall Basics
his
I'll always shop op shops. When I go I look for quality, all season fabrics - yes I wear cashmere in the summer.
A great time to hit them is the month before the season ends - everyone else is still in summer mode. We picked up these basics about two weeks ago all for just under $200 - not including dry cleaning. I still need to find a few dresses, some Katherine Hepburn trousers and a coat. He still needs to find a coat, boots, and some trousers.
There's a couple of cashmere sweaters, an Oscar de la Renta jacket, some snakeskin belts, a Burberry jacket, snake skin shoes, Ralph Lauren lizard ballet flats, a Burberry jacket, a couple silk scarves, a pashmina, some Pierre Cardin belts, a James Perse shirt, a couple Ralph Lauren tops and a Charles Jourdan bag.

Quote of the Week - Rudpolph Valentino
Women are not in love with me but with the picture of me on the screen. I am merely the canvas upon which the women paint their dreams.

Best Tie Knot for Short Men
The Four-in-Hand knot is recommended for shorter men. It's a small knot with a distinctive, elongated asymmetric shape that directs the eye vertically up the body and gives the impression of height. The Four in Hand was also a favourite of James Bond

Shopping for Jeans
No, not for me thank bejeezus. It's our annual hunt for the right pair of men's denim.
These were his top picks for jeans.
Marc by Marc Jacobs - Uniform Fit
review - lady bum is not a good look for him.

Acne Jeans - Roc Cash Intense Black
review - Hot! He's going to buy these this Fall - I hope.

Nudie - Slim Jim Dry Coated Denim
review - he has slim sexy legs and the boot cut really doesn't do them justice. In my opinion, if you're blessed with slim legs you should show them off.

review - nah - just ok. I like my pair of Naked and Famous though.

Thomas Stanley Thee Apple Bird Feeder
The funnel design, smooth finish and sloped edges are meant to keep vermin out. I wonder if it's easy to clean. You have to keep those birds healthy.

Tip of the Week - Civility
When you're walking with someone, whoever gets to the door first holds it open for the other. Simply pull the door toward you and wait until your companion walks through. If it opens out either push it out and wait, or push it out, walk through, hold it and wait.

Mens Style Inspiration
You must take a look at this replica German U-boat Marine coat a gentleman took two years to make. His other handmade coats are just as amazing.

Tip of the Week - Fashion
A white belt on dark trousers adds girth by drawing one's attention to the middle. Keep the flow of the eye moving by choosing a belt in the same shade or close to that of the fabric.

How to Restore a Wood Table

1. Acquire a table. In this situation I'm using a teak one.

2. You'll need the finest grade steel wool, gloves, two clean cloths and Dr. Howard's Feed-N-Wax (I think this is the best for getting a nice conditioned look with Danish style furniture in walnut, rosewood or teak).

3. Break off some steel wool and lightly run it with the grain of the wood. Don't rub back and forth. It's like doing your nails - file in one direction. Get down to eye level to see any missed spots.

5. Apply a dab of Feed-n-Wax to a clean cloth and rub it - with the grain - onto the wood. Once again, get down to eye level to see any spots you've missed.

6. Wait 20 minutes

8. Voila. Now go and sell your $100 table for $600
